Listing Agents Reliance on Cooperating Agents

The Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service reported in 2002 that Listing “Companies” relied on Cooperating (other) “Companies” over 73% of the time to Sell the homes they listed. .

Based on MLS statistics we routinely research for our Clients we find Listing “Agents” rely on Cooperating “Agents” to even a greater extent. More like (*) 85% of the time. Why is there a difference in these figures? Because this research finds that about Half of the sales made by Listing Companies include another agent within that same company, a Cooperating “Agent”.
